Giovanni Formisano

Giovanni starts studying and practicing yoga as a autodidact since he was 12. He graduates in Milan at the memorable Yoga Institute of Master Carlo Patrian.

He hence decides to dedicate completely to the teaching of this discipline, by deepening its knowledge and studying with international level teachers, among which Swami Yogaswarupananda and Swami Kartykeian, from the Divine Life Society ofRishikesh,  Masterji Viswanath from Bangalore - direct nephew of the famous Pattabhi Jois, the "father" of the Ashtanga Vinyasa method - who has been following for several years and where he attended an intensive course achieving a yoga teacher certificate and a degree as international referee for yoga competitions - and Sri Sheshadri from Mysore, direct disciple of B.N.S. Iyengar, one of the most valued and experienced teacher worldwide.

Since 2000 Giovanni follows and practice the teachings on  Kriya Yoga by Paramahansa Yogananda deepening his teachings by following as well, trainings held by the organization founded by himself and by Ananda Assisi, spiritual community founded by his disciple Swami Kriyananda. He knows and studies as well with Shibendu Lahiri, grand nephew of Lahiri Mahasaya, the father of modern Kriya Yoga.
In 2003 he met Master Roy Eugene Davis, one of the few living direct disciples of Yogananda and since then he follows his teachings. 
In 2010 Mr. Davis ordered Giovanni as his minister and qualified to represent him and to initiate to the advanced Kriya Yoga tecniques.  

He is certified Yoga Alliance as ERYT 500 (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher). He is Master Reiki, pranotherapist and reflexologist. He worked for several years with Down Town gyms in Milan teaching. He is a member of YANI (Yoga - Italian National Teachers Association).
